Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct repairs in various areas, including appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, boilers, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Utilize troubleshooting, efficiency, sustainability principles, REAC preparation, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and Preventative Maintenance (PM) techniques learned during the program.
- Complete service requests and repairs in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in preparing vacant units for market readiness following company standards.
- Maintain property grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and waste management.
- Be available for on-call duties during off-hours and emergencies as scheduled.
Qualifications:
- Genuine interest in pursuing a career in maintenance.
- Valid driver's license in good standing and ability to meet driving record standards.
- Access to a personal vehicle.
- Willingness to travel to The Peterson School (Worcester Campus) weekly for classroom training (mileage reimbursed).
- Basic computer and tablet proficiency.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic English language comprehension.
- Proactive and initiative-driven work ethic.
- Ability to travel to regional properties and additional training sessions as needed (mileage reimbursed).
- Capability to meet emergency on-call requirements at assigned properties.
Compensation: $21 - $22 per hour
