Job Title: Night Custodian - Facilities Maintenance

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Custodian to join our facilities maintenance team at Lowell Community Charter Public School. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe school environment, ensuring the health and well-being of our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean, dust, and sanitize rooms, including classrooms, hallways, and common areas
  • Operate equipment needed to complete essential functions, such as vacuum cleaners, rug cleaners, and hand tools
  • Install paper products, deliver supplies, and perform other tasks as assigned
  • Perform preventive maintenance work, including painting, replacing light bulbs, and repairing equipment
  • Relocate furniture and equipment, and complete facility setups
  • Complete inventory reports, daily cleaning and maintenance reports, and supply orders
  • Assist with building and equipment maintenance tasks, including snow removal and exterior work
  • Attend and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience in a similar position or a position with comparable functions
  • Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations that apply to public buildings
  • Ability to pass a state and federal background check

Working Conditions: This is a part-time position, working primarily at night. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
