Employee Experience and Engagement Specialist

AFC Urgent Care San Diego is seeking a full-time Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to support our team in delivering exceptional employee experiences. As an HR Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enforcing employee policies, procedures, and best practices while serving as a liaison between employees and management.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and wage orders.
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Set recruiting goals, attract quality employees, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and manage attrition.
- Employee Relations and Support: Consult with contracted HR company and assist managers on matters regarding employee grievances, internal investigations, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Benefits Administration and Time Off: Coordinate with the Director of Finance on benefits administration and time off requests.
- Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the employee onboarding and offboarding process.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Perform record-keeping functions for storing, tracking, and reporting employee data.
- Special Projects and Support: Assist with supervisor with employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions, draft professional correspondence, job ads, announcements, reports, and inquiries, and manage special projects and assigned duties as required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field of study and/or a combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 1-3 years of human resource management experience.
- Knowledge and Certifications: Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and wage orders. SHRM-CP desired but not required.
