Senior Engineer in Aviation Fuel Infrastructure
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the design and construction across various sectors, including Commercial and Military Fuel Systems, Oil & Gas, Water/Wastewater, or Industrial Systems.
Key areas of expertise that would be highly beneficial include:
  • Fuel receipt, storage, and distribution facilities at airports
  • Jet fuel hydrant distribution networks
  • Systems for pipeline and transport truck fuel receipt
  • Storage tanks for jet fuel
  • Distribution pumping systems for hydrants and refueler truck loading
  • Oil-water separation systems
  • Fuel piping systems with single and double-wall configurations
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ATA 103, API 610, 650, 653, ASME B31.3 and B31.4, NFPA 30, and NFPA 11
  • Hydraulic modeling of piping systems
  • Stress analysis of piping systems
Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution is mandatory.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience is required.
  • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is essential, with experience in consulting firms or construction contractors.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks utilizing advanced techniques, leading to the development of innovative processes, equipment, or technological methods.
  • Capable of formulating and assessing plans for significant projects.
  • May oversee departmental or divisional project studies, reports, or design assignments.
  • Provide mentorship and direction to junior staff members.
  • Regular interaction with clients and external personnel, along with some marketing duties.
  • Should assist clients in planning mechanical enhancements for projects, including defining project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • This role demands an individual with a comprehensive understanding of principles and practices applicable to a wide range of assignments.
