IMEG Corp is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our design and implementation efforts in the building design consulting industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design efforts for the analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG Corp standards.
  • Perform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reports.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Provide in-process design reviews of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence.
  • Implement IMEG Corp quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG Corp quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Provide technical training and mentoring.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work.

Requirements:

  • Mastery of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications.
  • Mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Strong training, mentoring, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise.
  • Ability to sell work and develop client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to adapt to new challenges.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred, but not required.
  • 10 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting industry.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull.
