This role provides comprehensive accounting support to the business in various areas, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank and credit card statements.
- Support fixed assets management, including asset tracking and depreciation.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing accurate and timely information.
- Collaborate with the accounting team on special projects, applying general accounting principles and best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and expense account reconciliations and analysis.
- Assist with month, quarter, and year-end close processes.
- Review and improve Accounting Policies & Procedures, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Research and implement new accounting standards and processes.
- Support fixed asset management and construction in process.
- Assist with the implementation of new software solutions.
- Provide variance and profitability analysis as directed by management.
- Manage sales tax, property tax, and franchise tax.
- Support annual financial audit preparation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of related experience.
