Housekeeping Role Overview:
The Housekeeping Associate will be tasked with upholding a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning various areas such as resident rooms, restrooms, windows, and floors
- Executing housekeeping tasks according to established protocols
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of workspaces
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning Duties:
- Daily cleaning and polishing of diverse surfaces
- Sanitizing restroom fixtures
- Ensuring windows, mirrors, and floors are spotless
- Utilizing appropriate cleaning agents for various surfaces
- Conducting carpet cleaning and maintaining walls/ceilings
- Proper disposal of waste materials
- Cleaning carts and equipment
- Adhering to cleaning schedules meticulously
Housekeeping Duties:
- Maintaining cleanliness in housekeeping areas
- Following daily work assignments and procedures
- Ensuring safety and organization in workspaces
- Promptly reporting any maintenance concerns
Quality Standard Duties:
- Complying with infection control measures
- Observing safety protocols and reporting hazardous conditions
- Adhering to fire safety regulations
- Maintaining confidentiality of resident-care information
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to efficiently utilize cleaning supplies and equipment. Knowledge of the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
Experience:
- Preferred one year of experience in senior living or hospitality
Physical Demands:
- Frequent walking, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Requires bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing
- Operation of various housekeeping equipment
