Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior Library Associate to join our team at the Monument Library. As a key member of our Adult Services department, you will provide exceptional public service, conduct programs, and develop targeted activities to engage our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-depth reference, purchase, and Interlibrary Loan services to patrons
  • Perform circulation functions, including patron account creation and maintenance, checking out materials and equipment, and processing payments for fees
  • Offer high-level technology support to patrons, including individualized assistance with devices, computers, and software
  • Plan, create, and deliver local programs, including training program volunteers and promoting events through community contacts
  • Collaborate with the Communications Department to create and maintain content for social media platforms
  • Assist in maintaining the library's collection, including training and assisting other staff in the use and maintenance of specialized collections
  • Act as person-in-charge as assigned, taking required training and assuming responsibility for safe and effective library operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • Minimum of two years of service experience, preferably in a library setting
  • Experience with computer equipment and relevant software applications
  • Ability to have access to reliable transportation
  • Bilingual ability is a plus in serving a diverse community
Working Conditions
