Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of foods in large quantities, including meats, fish, fowl, vegetables, fruits, soups, salads, desserts, breads, and pastries.
  • Establish and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and handling regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
  • Monitor and control food costs, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the dining experience for our residents.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living setting, preferably in a kitchen or food service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to lift 20-35 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
