Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, we offer a range of benefits, including weekly pay, basic health insurance, 401k/Roth 401k plans, and unlimited telehealth program access.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team as second in command of the Heart of House (kitchen or BOH). As a key member of our kitchen operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food and standards. Your primary duties include managing all kitchen functions, including purchasing, storage, inventory, and preparation of food products while upholding a standard of excellence in safety and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all kitchen functions, including purchasing, storage, inventory, and preparation of food products.
- Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurants recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
- Achieve Snooze objectives in sales, service, safety, and sanitation, facility maintenance, and food and beverage quality by effectively training Snoozers and providing a positive, productive working environment.
- Lead guest recovery in the event issues arise on shift.
- Assist the management team in making employment and termination decisions, including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, reviewing, and coaching hourly Snoozers as appropriate.
- Identify and recruit outstanding talent by conducting effective and fair interviews to elevate and build Snooze's team of hourly talent.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- At least 2+ years of operations experience and 1+ years of leadership experience.
- Knowledge of food, beverage, and safety.
- Excellent basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register and Point of Sale system.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours) and have the stamina to work 45 to 50 hours per week.
