A prominent client is in search of a Commercial Real Estate Title Attorney. This role involves the meticulous examination of title files and reviewing detailed information related to the property in question. The attorney will also be tasked with drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, deeds, and affidavits, while addressing curative issues and facilitating closings. A comprehensive understanding of both residential and commercial transactions in Georgia is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough title reviews.
  • Perform contract assessments for purchases upon file initiation.
  • Prepare clean commitments and distribute commitment packages to lenders.
  • Resolve complex curative issues, including bankruptcies and foreclosures.
  • Collaborate with management, processors, searchers, and clients as necessary.
  • Engage with buyers/borrowers prior to settlement to discuss closing procedures and fund transfers.
  • Draft contracts for new clientele.
  • Verify commitments for precision and accuracy.
  • Possess a solid understanding of title operations, underwriting, and state regulations.
  • A college degree and Juris Doctorate are mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in the commercial real estate title sector is required.
  • Must hold membership in the Georgia Bar, Title Insurance License, and Notary Public certification.
