Job Title: Accreditation Specialist

Join the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration team as an Accreditation Specialist. This role is responsible for developing and implementing proactive and systematic approaches to accreditation readiness.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement accreditation readiness programs
  • Liaise with accreditation organizations and coordinate the completion and submission of required documents
  • Manage Joint Commission unannounced surveys, CARF surveys, and Office of Inspector General Comprehensive assessments
  • Communicate and implement new standards and changes
  • Educate and prepare staff for accreditation processes
Requirements:
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
  • Experience in accreditation or quality management, preferably in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or higher
  • Three (3) years of experience in professional nursing practice
  • Two (2) years of experience in accreditation or quality management
Work Schedule:

Full-time, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with flexibility to accommodate the needs of the facility
