Job Summary:The Staff Nurse - Oncology Care Specialist will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. You will also provide education and support to patients and their families, as well as participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists and other healthcare services.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, including information about treatment options, side effects, and self-care strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and improve the overall quality of care.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
- Registered Nurse License; BLS, ACLS, ONS/ONCC certification.
- Two years of experience in oncology nursing or a related field.
