We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Unified Communications Services Engineer to join our team at the University of California - San Francisco. As a key member of our Digital Workplace Services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of digital workplace communication solutions, including the strategic design, implementation, and maintenance of systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Digital Workplace Solutions: Design, implement, and maintain digital workplace communication systems, including telephony, voicemail, audiovisual technology, video conferencing, and collaboration platforms.
- Lead Technical Teams: Provide technical management, direction, and guidance to a team of engineers, ensuring that systems are operating at peak efficiency.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with other Infrastructure Services teams to ensure that digital workplace communications services systems are operating at peak efficiency with minimal downtime.
- Advise on Emerging Technologies: Develop best-in-class standards and advise on existing and emerging communications technologies to ensure that the University's IT infrastructure is operable, secure, efficient, and effective.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in digital workplace communications, information technology, or network operations.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of voice and video applications, unified communications services networks, network appliances, and service management tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate complex technical ideas to diverse audiences, and experience working in a project-based environment.
