Communicable Disease Specialist 2

Join the Georgia Department of Public Health as a Communicable Disease Specialist 2 and play a critical role in protecting the health and well-being of our communities. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for investigating and managing cases of communicable diseases, providing education and outreach to the public, and collaborating with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to prevent the spread of disease.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate and manage cases of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis, HIV, and other reportable diseases
- Provide education and outreach to the public, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders on disease prevention and control
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to prevent the spread of disease
- Develop and implement disease control plans to prevent the spread of disease
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of disease control plans
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as public health, epidemiology, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a related field, such as public health, epidemiology, or a related field
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
