Job Overview:
The Head of Pharmaceutical Partnerships will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by developing and implementing an aggressive fundraising strategy to secure partnerships with pharmaceutical companies. This individual will be responsible for researching, identifying, and cultivating new business opportunities, building relationships with senior executives, and creating comprehensive partnership proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive revenue growth through pharmaceutical partnerships.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities, leveraging a network of supporters, including Board of Directors, Leadership Council members, Scientific Advisory Board members, and Community Development relationships.
  • Cultivate and build relationships with senior executives at pharmaceutical companies, advancing the brand and mission of Susan G. Komen.
  • Develop comprehensive partnership proposals, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including Mission, Marketing, and Community Development teams.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including cold/warm outreach, meeting planning and cadence, engagement of key internal stakeholders, proposal development, and transition to account team once partnership is secured.
  • Support Senior Director, Pharma Life Sciences with regular status reports, trend analyses, and revenue projections for sharing with Vice President, Corporate Foundation Partnerships, and organization senior leadership team.
  • Act as an external ambassador for the organization, staying current with Mission priorities and engagement opportunities that can bring prospects closer to the organization's life-saving work.
  • Maintain knowledge and savvy of industry giving landscape, including company interests and priorities; act as corporate giving expert to internal stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced professional with a track record of meeting and exceeding large revenue goals, including building 6- and 7-figure partnerships. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and focus, be able to proactively research, identify, create, and close new business opportunities, effectively leverage qualified leads, and create unique partnership opportunities with senior executives and leading corporations. A Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of nonprofit and/or pharmaceutical/life sciences industry experience in developing, implementing, and managing complex partnerships are required.

What We Offer:
Komen provides a competitive salary range of $102,000 - $145,000 per year, based on various factors including labor market, job level, internal equity, and budget. The exact salary offer will be determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location.
