Overview:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a dedicated Graduate Assistant to join the Department of Health Promotion. This role is essential in supporting the Assistant Director of Organizational Well-being in crafting a comprehensive, inclusive, and research-based model aimed at enhancing the well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Assistant Director in outreach initiatives that align with the department's mission and values.
  • Participate in the evaluation and development of an organizational well-being framework for the student community through research and collaboration.
  • Support the implementation of strategies that ensure compliance with relevant regulations and promote risk management.
  • Advocate for student groups and organizations to enhance their well-being initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support for various organizational well-being projects.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a related field.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A collaborative mindset that fosters strong relationships across departments.
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be enrolled as a graduate student.
