Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Launch Engineer to support a dynamic program at SAIC. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance to start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support launch planning and execution for current spacecraft and development of launch requirements for future systems.
  • Advise the customer on all aspects of spacecraft launch, including requirements development, contract management, risk trades, and launch vehicle integration.
  • Develop requirements and contract language for launch integration and operations for new spacecraft programs.
  • Work closely with NRO/OSL and contractor LSIC on launch planning and execution.
  • Train SPO launch team for Day Of Launch (DOL) planning.
  • Monitor launch planning and execution, creating reports as needed for customer leadership.
  • Identify issues and potential issues to the customer and recommend solutions.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or significant mission experience with 18 years of experience; Masters with 16 years of experience; or PhD with 15 years of experience.
  • Excellent Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills
  • Basic understanding of DOD/IC satellite systems and architectures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Available to travel domestically
