Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Launch System Integrator to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support for the NRO Electro-Optical System Program Office (ESPO).

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of Launch Vehicle LV interface requirements and defining acceptable evidence and associated verification plans.

You will also assist in developing launch base facility, transportation, safety, and communications requirements and associated verification plans.

Additionally, you will evaluate Launch related CDRLs and prepare feedback for Gov't customer review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Launch Vehicle LV interface requirements
  • Define acceptable evidence and associated verification plans
  • Develop launch base facility, transportation, safety, and communications requirements
  • Evaluate Launch related CDRLs
  • Prepare feedback for Gov't customer review

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering, Physics, or similar technical discipline
  • 9 years' experience in space-related systems including operations, acquisition, program management, integration, test, and evaluation
  • Familiarity with new entrant Launch Vehicles from ULA, SpaceX, Blue Origin, and others
  • Understanding of launch vehicle performance to varied orbits and ability to provide rapid response to leadership
  • Familiarity with capabilities and limitations of launch facilities on both coasts
  • Familiarity with payload fairing environments such as humidity, pressure, temperature, flow rates, and payload contamination issues
  • Understanding of the payload processing facility capabilities and specific program needs related to launch base processing
  • Understanding of payload transportation requirements and current USG capabilities
  • Understanding of launch environments including coupled loads analysis, inertial and quasi-static loads, shock, and vibration
  • Ability to work autonomously with little oversight
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% during the year of launch
