About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Developer to join our team at BrightView Landscape Services. As a Business Developer, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and achieving profitable financial results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with prospective customers to identify their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Accurately forecast sales deliverables and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Achieve sales goals and work independently to drive business growth.
  • Perform sales prospecting using consultative sales techniques to build long-standing business relationships.
  • Prepare and conduct sales presentations, virtual demonstrations, and handle contract negotiations with minimal supervision.
  • Identify customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques to demonstrate the value of BrightView services.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospects and existing clients.
  • Build and maintain trust-based professional relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Plan daily activities and hit specific benchmarks to close business.
  • Log activity consistently and reliably in CRM (Salesforce).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive face-to-face (B2B) selling experience at the mid to senior levels, 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and able to multi-task in a large territory.
  • Proficient with computer programs including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with a CRM or SFA tool.
  • Proven track record of sales goal attainment and pipeline management.
  • Highly competitive, positive, and results-driven.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to build client-centric and solution/value-based proposals.
  • Working experience with social media.
  • Local knowledge and contacts in one or more market segments preferred.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Experience in the service industry with commercial contract sales desirable.
