We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot Rotor Wing Specialist to join our team at Air Methods. As a key member of our medical transport team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients and medical crew to receiving hospitals within our operational area.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner, adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), and General Operations Manual guidelines.
- Complete pre-flight checks and verify the aircraft's airworthiness before each flight.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and Air Methods policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular meetings, activities, and projects to maintain a high level of professionalism and teamwork.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and two to five years of related experience and/or training.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Commercial and Instrument Rating for the category and class of aircraft.
- First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.
- 2000 total flight hours with a minimum of 1500 flight hours in the category.
- 1000 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience in the category.
- 500 hours of rotor wing turbine time.
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time, with at least 50 hours at night.
