Job Title: Food & Beverage Supervisor

City Experiences is seeking a talented Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team at City Cruises San Diego.

About the Opportunity:

The F&B Supervisor is the person responsible for the success of an event. They are the leader of the event, responsible for the guests, client, crew, and other management.

About You:

We are looking for someone with leadership, organization, time management, dedication, and excellent communication skills. You should also have proper judgment and perspective, respect for the brand, guests, and crew in the decision-making process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Review events at the beginning of the work week for discrepancies, conflicts, or questions.
  2. Report to the Abbey for contract or boarding report.
  3. Prepare diagrams based on guest count, client needs, and staffing level.
  4. Gather additional items needed for event (beverages, supplies, paperwork, etc.).
  5. Be on board yacht at scheduled in time for crew, ready to start pre-shift meeting.
  6. Supervise and manage crew while on HCE premises (yacht, Abbey, pier, ticket booth, etc.).
  7. Review all contract details with crew and set expectation for the event.
  8. Assign & direct crew in their position-related responsibilities, including sidework, resets, and cleaning of F&B areas.
  9. Monitor and evaluate all food, beverage, and service quality during event.
  10. Take corrective action to ensure a successful function.
  11. Support the onboard Operations staff with all safety requirements, while communicating essential information regarding the event.
  12. Completion of Senior Deckhand training, including, but not limited to, vessel operations, fire safety, CPR/AED, line handling, and First Aid.
  13. Full walkthrough of vessel after each event to ensure all areas are in Show-Ready condition.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months food service supervisory experience preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months hospitality experience, with knowledge of food, wine, and spirits.
  • 21 years or older.
  • Food Handler Certification required; TIPS certification desirable.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC and MMC.
  • Experience with a Point of Service (POS) system.
  • Evenings, weekends and holiday shifts are often required. A Flexible schedule is required.
