We are currently in search of a Medical Emergency Manager to deliver essential support to the Air Force Medical Agency, specifically within the Installation and Mission Support Branch.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing budget requirements for Program Element Code (PEC) 28036F.
  • Assisting Major Commands (MAJCOMS) and bases in executing the Installation Medical All Hazard Response (IMAHR) annual budget for PEC 28036F.
  • Overseeing IMAHR programs to provide guidance on equipment inventory and future sustainability needs.
  • Identifying deficiencies and recommending corrective measures to enhance the Air Force Medical Readiness program, ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission emergency management standards.
  • Supporting unit deployment management programs and contributing to Medical Contingency Response Plans, Comprehensive Emergency Management Plans, Disease Containment Plans, and Installation Deployment Plans.
  • Tracking and reporting through the Medical Readiness Decision Support System.
  • Monitoring and assisting in the development, execution, and improvement planning of medical exercises.
  • Providing analysis, programming, policy guidance, reports, and research for all-hazards in accordance with AFI.
Minimum Qualifications:

All personnel engaged in this service must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the emergency management medical field with familiarity in CBRN.
  • 7 years of experience within the Department of Defense or similar senior-level expertise in strategic planning, social marketing, program development, and evaluation.
  • 5 years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
  • 5 years of proficiency in current software applications, including Microsoft Office (Project) and internet search tools.
  • 5 years of experience in medical CBRN response, the NIMS Hospital Incident Command System, and the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program.
  • Possession of an Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Completion of the following Federal Emergency Management Agency Independent Study (IS) Courses within the last five years:
    • IS-100.c, Introduction to the Incident Command System
    • IS-200.c, Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response
    • IS-700.b, An Introduction to the National Incident Management System
    • IS-800.c, National Response Framework: An Introduction
Preferred Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience as an Air Force 4A0X in a Medical Readiness role is preferred.
