Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Night QA Lab Technician to join our team at Oakhurst Dairy. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality dairy products in New England.

About the Role: As a Night QA Lab Technician, you will perform routine product analysis, including bacteriological, chemical, and physical testing of raw and finished goods. You will also conduct microscopy on incoming raw milk and organoleptic analysis of finished products. Additionally, you will inspect the plant periodically and regularly for compliance with Oakhurst Dairy and US Public Health regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Properly test incoming and outgoing product for suitability and compliance with appropriate standards.
  • Perform bacteriological, chemical, and physical tests on raw and finished goods to meet quality compliance goals.
  • Conduct product sampling at various points through the supply chain.
  • Inspect cleaning equipment for functionality and proper operation.
  • Verify cleaning completeness through visual inspection and swabbing activities.
  • Maintain the Pathogen Environmental Monitoring program and participate in sampling activities.
  • Troubleshoot quality issues with Production and Quality personnel.
  • Recommend changes or improvements to laboratory procedures, plant inspections, process control, or cleaning and sanitizing programs.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in laboratory techniques and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality dairy products. You should also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan. We also offer paid time off and opportunities for professional development.
