We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team in Portland, ME. This is a 3+ month onsite contract role with a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.

Job Summary:

As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results. You will perform various laboratory tests, including clinical chemistry, hematology, and microbiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory tests according to established procedures.
  • Analyze test results and report findings to healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records.
  • Adhere to quality control and quality assurance standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or equivalent.
  • ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
  • Experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation Package:

This role comes with a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer opportunities for professional development, medical, vision, and dental insurance plans, and a 401k retirement fund.
