Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Services Representative to join our team at Marshall & Sterling Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative and financial duties, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply ordering, distribution, and inventory management
  • Processing of incoming and outgoing daily mail and documents
  • Bank deposits and transactions as needed
  • Scanning and data entry
  • Transmitting daily positive pay files to the bank
  • Printing monthly commission statements from company websites
  • Processing daily close day and tracking daily balances in operating accounts
  • Recording direct bill commissions and remitting branch company statements and invoices
  • Processing payments in upload accounts from Poughkeepsie branch
  • Assisting Financial Service Representatives and Sr. Financial Service Representatives as needed
  • Maintaining professional accreditation and participating in continuing education programs
  • Building and maintaining a favorable and professional work relationship with other staff members
  • Adhering to established employee manual policies and guidelines
  • Adhering to workflow procedures and reducing the risk of E&O claims
  • Promptly reporting all E&O claims and potential E&O claims
  • Maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and agency information

Requirements:

  • College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
  • Experience with Vertafore a plus
  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with others in a professional manner
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • High level of organizational ability with attention to detail
