Financial Services Representative

Marshall & Sterling Inc is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Services Representative to join our team.
Job Summary:The Assistant Financial Services Representative will provide administrative and financial support to staff members in the department, ensuring the smooth operation of daily tasks and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Supply Chain Management: Order, distribute, and maintain inventory of supplies.
- Mail and Bank Services: Process incoming and outgoing mail, make bank deposits as needed, and transmit daily positive pay files to the bank.
- Scanning and Data Entry: Scan documents and perform data entry tasks as required.
- Financial Reporting: Print monthly commission statements from company websites and track daily balances in operating accounts.
- Record Keeping: Record direct bill commissions, remit branch company statements and invoices, and process payments in upload accounts from the Poughkeepsie branch.
- Team Support: Assist Financial Service Representatives and Sr. Financial Service Representatives as needed.
- Professional Development: Maintain professional accreditation necessary to meet agency standards and participate in continuing education programs when available.
- Communication: Build and maintain a favorable and professional work relationship with other staff members, adhere to established employee manual policies and guidelines, and promptly report all E&O claims and potential E&O claims.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and agency information.
- Education: College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical Skills: Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, with experience with Vertafore a plus.
- Soft Skills: Works effectively and relates well with others, demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, and high level of organizational ability with attention to detail.
