Assistant Branch Manager I

About the RoleThis position plays a critical role in supporting the branch manager in achieving branch and bank-wide goals. The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for managing a team that provides exceptional customer service, ensures operational soundness, and generates revenue for the branch and bank.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a backup to the personal banking team to open new accounts, receive loan requests, and gather credit-related information.
- Ensure the branch is operationally sound and that client service specialists are trained and competent in explaining all products and services offered.
- Monitor sales and service goals and process technical tasks such as opening and closing the branch, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers, and collections.
- Routinely provide guidance and training to branch team members and resolve conflicts with minimal assistance.
- May back up new accounts and client service specialist lines, and be responsible for satisfactory audits.
- Frequently service complex accounts and actively coach and mentor team members to deepen customer relationships.
- Work with the branch manager to identify business development opportunities and complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in retail banking and management. The ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of retail banking experience or equivalent transferrable skills and experience.
- Some management experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking software.
- Excellent training and mentoring skills, as well as customer-focused service and sales skills.
- Knowledge of consumer and small business lending and overall knowledge of bank operations.
- Previous client service specialist experience and a bachelor's degree, preferred.
- Bilingual skills, preferred.
This is a fully onsite role with a competitive total rewards package, including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $19.00 to $24.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate will be dependent on a variety of non-discriminatory factors.
