Job Title: Program Manager III

County of Santa Clara CA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager III to oversee programs in the Cross Systems Initiatives Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program development, management, and evaluation, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Summary:

The Program Manager III will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the activities and/or staff of a very large County program. This includes developing and implementing program objectives, strategies, and policies, as well as evaluating program effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement program objectives, strategies, and policies
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
  • Plan, organize, and direct the work of program staff
  • Develop and manage program budgets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve program goals
  • Provide leadership and guidance to program staff
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Seven years of analytical, administrative, lead, supervisory or management experience
  • Four years of which must be at the journey level
  • Experience with program development, management, and evaluation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience with large system finances and budgets
  • Experience with intensive outpatient services
  • Experience presenting to, and interfacing with, the Board of Supervisors, courts, community partners, and the community
