Assembly and Test Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Assembly and Test Operator to join our team at M&H Valve in Anniston, Alabama.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment, assembling and testing valves and hydrants to meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members by following safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Perform repetitive line assembly operations, following detailed job-specific instructions to ensure efficient production and quality control.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and inspect parts as they are assembled.
- Utilize hand tools and air tools throughout the shift, working in various workstations as dictated by production requirements.
- Collaborate with the team to reduce bottlenecks and improve production efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and notify supervisors of production errors or equipment malfunctions.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a wide range of temperatures, humid conditions, moving machinery, dust, fumes, gases, odors, vibrations, and varying noise levels.
