Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development
    • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth in the water and wastewater treatment market.
    • Identify and target new business opportunities, including potential new clients, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
  • Sales and Marketing
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including municipalities, industrial clients, engineering firms, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Lead negotiation and closure of new contracts and partnerships, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with Company business objectives and legal requirements.
    • Oversee the preparation and submission of proposals and bids for new projects and contracts.
    • Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to develop compelling and competitive proposals.
  • Performance Management
    • Monitor and analyze sales funnel data using CRM tools and provide regular updates to senior management on progress, opportunities, and challenges.
    • Prepare project reviews prior to bid date for the appropriate level of approval.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet regional sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university, specializing in engineering, business management, finance, or equivalent.
    • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in a related field.
    • Experience working with remote teams is highly desirable.
    • Prior experience in a project execution role within the water and wastewater municipal industry is highly desirable.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager with a strong understanding of water and wastewater technology in the municipal industry.
    • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
    • Demonstrable use and maintenance of CRM systems.
    • The ability to read and understand contracts and flag areas of concern.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and communicate with an appropriate sense of urgency.
    • Excellent organization and negotiation skills.
    • Self-starter and entrepreneurial approach to business.
