Position Overview:

The Bilingual Safety Surveillance Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in a supportive environment. This position involves monitoring interactions and reviewing surveillance footage to maintain compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing surveillance footage on a daily basis.
  • Conducting regular inspections of facilities to observe staff and child interactions.
  • Assisting in incident management, including coordinating emergency services and managing video documentation.
  • Generating daily security reports to identify trends and deviations from established protocols.
  • Completing end-of-shift security assessments of premises.
  • Following safety training and protocols diligently to ensure a secure environment.
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive information related to clients and organizational operations.
  • Upholding the Code of Conduct and organizational values.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members to promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Qualifications:

  • Proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases is required.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in child welfare or related fields.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are necessary.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and various database systems.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

Travel Requirements:

This position does not require local or overnight travel.
