About the Position

The City of Saint Paul, MN is seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant III to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of civil litigation and the ability to provide exceptional support to our attorneys.

As a Legal Assistant III, you will be responsible for preparing and organizing case files, acting as a liaison with other City departments and court personnel, and assisting in the preparation of cases for trial. You will also be responsible for processing and preparing legal forms and documents, coordinating data and documentation, and assisting in trial preparation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and organize case files for hearings, conferences, and trials.
  • Act as a liaison with other City departments and court personnel.
  • Assist in the preparation of cases for trial.
  • Process and prepare legal forms and documents.
  • Coordinate data and documentation.
  • Assist in trial preparation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Paralegal Certification from an accredited program.
  • Four years of experience as a Legal Assistant, two years of which must have been at the intermediate level of professional work, providing legal assistant services of moderate complexity and variety to attorneys.
