At Power Plant Live, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our country bar and southern rock venue. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring a professional company image, and managing service contracts with outside vendors.
Key Responsibilities:- Operational Management: Control the day-to-day operations of the venue, adhering to company policies and guidelines.
- Image and Cleanliness: Maintain a professional company image, including restaurant and bar cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
- Vendor Management: Manage service contracts with outside vendors, including consulting agreements and entertainment vendors.
- Financial Management: Prepare Ops Statements, review financial reports, and take appropriate actions to control profit and loss.
- Cash Handling: Ensure daily deposits are made, safe counts are conducted, and venue cash is secured at all times.
- Inventory Management: Maintain cost of goods sold, nightly comps, and nightly recap reports by overseeing inventory counts.
- Customer Service: Respond to customer service needs to provide the highest standards of service.
- Administrative Duties: Complete financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies.
- Team Management: Recruit, interview, and hire team management members; train, supervise, and motivate; take disciplinary action and terminate team members when necessary.
- Staff Training: Ensure all staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
- Safety and Security: Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
- Community Representation: Represent the venue in a professional manner to the community-at-large, including local businesses, civic organizations, and media.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 4-year college degree or equivalent with coursework in restaurant management preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years' experience in restaurant/nightclub management, multi-unit management a plus.
- Language: Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred.
- Skills: Good people management skills, communication and listening skills, proven ability to lead a team and communicate efficiently, both verbally and in writing.
- Adaptability: Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
- Time Management: Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Carrying or Lifting: Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Moving Safely: Moving about the venue safely and efficiently.
- Handling Objects: Handling food, objects, products, and utensils.
- Bending and Stooping: Bending, stooping, and kneeling.
