About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled software professional to fill the Principal Engineer position. This leadership role requires collaboration with other principal engineers, lead engineers, and senior managers on a daily basis.

The primary responsibility of this role is to design resilient systems within the Home Lending area, provide guidance to engineers on complex problems, and promote collaboration among engineers.

Prior experience in dealing with complex monolithic and microservice systems is essential. Additionally, this role will participate in Business Continuity, production incident analysis, and cloud migrations.

In this role, you will:
  1. Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups.
  2. Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical, and inductive thinking.
  3. Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organization's tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions.
  4. Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions.
  5. Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
  6. Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership.
Required Qualifications:

14+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

Expertise with CORE application is a plus.

Prior work experience demonstrating migration from monolith to microservices.

Angular experience is a plus.

Strong background in CI/CD and delivery items & different deployment patterns.

Strong in Architectural patterns.

Needs to be a cultural ambassador and work with all team members in a friendly manner. Train them.

Job Expectations:

Work on system teams and bridge the gap with principal engineers in Originations. Improve application design in the short term and long term.

Be able to multi-task and work calmly in stressful situations.

CA Salary Range:

$144,400-$261,100

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$144, $300,000.00
