Position Overview:

Dana Safety Supply is on the lookout for dedicated Outside Salespersons to enhance our presence in the market.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the complete sales cycle within a designated territory, fostering and nurturing relationships with existing clients while seeking out new business opportunities.
  • Engage with a diverse clientele, including law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and other public safety organizations.
  • Continuously update product knowledge and develop effective sales strategies to promote new offerings.
  • Conduct regular sales visits to assigned customers, ensuring consistent communication and support.
  • Identify potential leads, manage prospects, and drive new business acquisition.
  • Collaborate with management to align with territory growth objectives and achieve sales targets.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitive activities, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while processing orders accurately.
  • Complete necessary documentation and reports in a timely manner, adhering to company policies.
  • Participate in training sessions and sales meetings, and assist in setting up trade show displays.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in outside sales, preferably within the industry.
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, with approximately 75% of time spent visiting clients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of product offerings.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Schedule:

A minimum commitment of 40 hours per week is expected, with flexibility to meet sales objectives.
