Job Overview

The Guest Services Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional experience for all visitors. This position involves overseeing the bell station, warmly welcoming guests, managing their luggage, providing directions, and assisting the front desk with various tasks, including answering calls and delivering items to guest accommodations.

  • Open and close vehicle doors for patrons.
  • Manage guest luggage for both short and extended stays.
  • Aid guests in storing and retrieving their belongings, including from their vehicles upon request.
  • Utilize bell carts for transporting luggage and packages to and from rooms, vehicles, and loading areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the designated lobby station and baggage area.
  • Ensure the lobby and hotel’s exterior and interior remain tidy by collecting litter and adjusting furniture as needed.
  • Stand ready to assist guests, providing a warm greeting and welcome.
  • Offer travel directions and recommendations for local attractions, dining options, and additional services.
  • Respond to phone inquiries to assist with guest calls.
  • Restock supplies at the front desk, business center, and grab-and-go areas.
  • Promptly report emergencies, accidents, injuries, lost items, damages, mechanical issues, and safety hazards to management.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
  • Comply with hotel taxi stand policies and agreements.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Follow safety and security protocols diligently.
  • Be knowledgeable about fire prevention and emergency procedures.
  • Use protective equipment as required.
  • Report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Document accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage, or loss to management.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by following all safety guidelines.
  • Assist fellow Front Desk staff as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors. Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A professional and positive demeanor when interacting with guests and team members.
  • Familiarity with the hotel and surrounding area.
  • Proficiency in operating computers, printers, copiers, and telephones.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing pressure while remaining adaptable and maintaining a cheerful attitude. Physical Requirements
  • Physical activity is a significant aspect of this role, performed both indoors and outdoors.
  • The position may involve exposure to varying temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, and noise.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.
