ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Agribusiness Management.
At least 4-5 years of experience in sustainable agriculture within a civil society context.
Thorough understanding of the operational frameworks and relevant schemes of Central and State Departments of Agriculture and associated institutions at both state and district levels.
Exceptional communication and public relations skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills in Hindi and Gujarati are essential. Knowledge of English is an advantage.
A candidate possessing a valid two-wheeler driving license is preferred.
Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and other basic IT tools will be beneficial.
Demonstrated cultural awareness, understanding, and sensitivity.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & TASKS
Project Coordination:
Lead initiatives under the Climate Smart Agriculture theme.
Identify and address gaps to achieve program objectives and deliverables.
Organize meetings with farmers to advocate for organic farming practices.
Provide technical training and capacity-building support to farmers regarding chemical-free and organic farming techniques.
Familiarity with popular methodologies such as Farmer Field Schools (FFS), Participatory Technology Development (PTD), Systems of Rice Intensification (SRI), and Conservation Agriculture (CA).
Create educational materials, training modules, and relevant toolkits.
Promote and support Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO) at the block level.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and multitask as necessary.
Build and maintain relationships with the community, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and other relevant stakeholders.
Management:
Ensure logistical support for key internal and external stakeholders as required.
Perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
Planning:
Assist in developing action plans for effective implementation of activities.
Monitoring:
Ensure program quality through regular field visits.
Oversee the proper selection of program beneficiaries according to established criteria.
Willingness to travel extensively to ensure effective project implementation and quality outcomes.
Documentation and Knowledge Management:
Develop case studies and success stories for learning and development purposes.
Support innovative approaches and processes, including executing pilot projects and deriving new insights.
Submit monthly reports on interventions and outcomes.
Stakeholder Management:
Foster and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
Coordinate with district and block-level government officials for resource convergence and effective program implementation.
