Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credentialing Specialist to join our team at AMISEQ. As a key member of our Medical Staff Services department, you will be responsible for coordinating the credentialing activities of our Medical Staff and Allied Health Staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the credentialing process, ensuring compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Credentialing Policies and Procedures, and federal and state regulations.
  • Provide administrative support to Credentials, General Staff, and other Medical Staff committees and departments.
  • Process requests for temporary, additional, and one-time privileges, monitoring follow-up as necessary.
  • Verify professional liability coverage, medical licensure, board certification, and other required credentials.
  • Assist with Joint Commission accreditation preparation and coordination of medical staff events.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in healthcare credentialing and privileging.
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of Joint Commission accreditation rules and privileging processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment in credentialing and privileging decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cactus/Symplr experience and credentialing certifications.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
