Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Out of School Time Group Leader in Peabody. As a Group Leader, you will play a vital role in the development, organization, and implementation of high-quality programming for young children in our Out-of-School Time program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe and engaging environment for all children within the program, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Implement STEAM-based curriculum on a daily basis, fostering creativity and curiosity in our young participants.
  • Provide academic support and homework assistance to children, helping them develop essential skills and confidence.
  • Adhere to EEC regulations and guidelines, ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Use positive reinforcement and redirection techniques to guide children's behavior, promoting social-emotional learning and character development.
  • Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and managing transitions smoothly.
  • Plan and deliver activities that promote cultural awareness, environmental education, and social responsibility, enriching the lives of our young participants.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and stay alert to children's needs, providing individualized support when necessary.
  • Report any accidents or incidents promptly, and assist with necessary documentation.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and program events, staying informed and engaged with our team.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, enhancing your skills and knowledge to better support our children.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, with opportunities for certification through the YMCA.
  • Ability to commit to a Monday-Friday schedule, with flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Annual physical confirmation, including documentation of 2 MMR immunizations, and a clean criminal record check.
