Job Title: Marketing and Social Media Manager

First Presbyterian Church of Colorado Springs is seeking a creative and community-minded Marketing and Social Media Manager to elevate our online presence and deepen our connection with the City of Colorado Springs and our community.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Marketing and Social Media Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital marketing, a heart for community outreach, and the ability to enhance our efforts to reach people with the love of Christ as we share the good news of the gospel.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a content calendar for all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and others.
  • Engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and reviews promptly and thoughtfully.
  • Work alongside ministries for integrating their needs into the social media strategy.
  • Monitor trends and insights to optimize performance and increase engagement.
  • Report back trends and engagement analytics.
  • Create and manage paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to improve ROI.
  • Collaborate with the creative and comms teams to align ad content with church events, outreach efforts, and seasonal activities.
  • Host the online services through chat and other interactions cross platforms.
  • Record pre and post service video announcements specific to the online audience.
  • Share photos and videos that tell the story of First Pres and our impact on the community.
  • Regularly capture photos and videos during Sunday services, events, and outreach activities to build a library of authentic content.
  • Edit and produce visual content that aligns with the church's brand and values.
  • Coordinate with the graphic design team to create compelling campaigns.
  • Work alongside comms director for creative storytelling.
  • Work closely with church leadership to identify and execute strategies for reaching new families and individuals in the community.
  • Collaborate with ministries to promote discipleship opportunities, community events, and other initiatives that foster deeper connections.
  • Help show the value that First Pres offers to everyone.
  • Ensure all communications reflect the church's voice and values, building a consistent and cohesive brand identity.
  • Develop creative strategies to enhance the church's visibility in the community, both online and offline.
Requirements:
  • Experience in social media management, marketing, and content creation.
  • Strong graphic design skills (experience with tools like Adobe Creative Suite etc.).
  • Experience with photography, videography, and light video editing.
  • Knowledge of digital advertising platforms (e.g., Meta Business Ads, Google Ads, GMB Profile, and Google Grants).
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Passion for community outreach and the mission of First Presbyterian Church.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in communications, advertising, marketing, strategic communications or related industry.
  • Experience working across multiple media sources including print, digital, photography and video.
  • Experienced working across multiple departments with unique characteristics and design needs.
