Job DescriptionSoltec Power Holdings is seeking a highly skilled Finance Regional Director to join our team in North America. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, accounting, and financial reporting for the region. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our operations.Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise accounting processes in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting principles, ensuring timely and accurate financial closings.
  • Analyze and control subsidiary structural costs, accounting, and tax operations to optimize financial performance.
  • Develop and implement the subsidiary's budgeting process, ensuring alignment with group standards.
  • Liaise with public administration and official organizations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee subsidiary financial statements to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal or external auditors, providing all required documentation and support.
  • Prepare periodic reports for management and external users, including financial books, annual accounts, and other relevant financial information.
  • Manage financial and accounting documents, ensuring meticulous filing of invoices, contracts, and economic documentation.
  • Conduct internal economic control, closely monitoring income and costs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, enabling informed decision-making based on accurate and reliable data.
  • Coordinate and review ongoing project tracking, including margins, revenues, costs, inventory, and other key performance indicators.
  • Review and monitor project cash flows, ensuring timely and efficient financial management.
  • Monitor contracts with clients for billing and collection milestones, ensuring prompt and accurate financial processing.
  • Coordinate feasibility studies for new projects, analyzing financial implications and potential returns on investment.
  • Support and coordinate various financial planning processes of the Group, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Analyze past and future trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Fulfill all tax obligations of the company in the assigned region, including tax planning, optimization, settlement, and tax management.
  • Supervise local tax compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze, from early stages, the tax implications of significant operations proposed to the company, recommending the best structure for implementation.
  • Manage and develop personnel under their responsibility, ensuring effective leadership and team management.
  • Provide support to other functions/projects within the department, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Economic Sciences, Finance, or a related field.
  • Preferred: MBA or postgraduate degree in Finance, Business Management, or a relevant discipline.
  • English Native – C2, Spanish fluent.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in comparable roles, ideally within the energy sector.
  • Proficiency in IFRS, Financial statements, accounting regulations, treasury management, financial reporting, external audit. Preferred ERP: SAP.
  • Proven experience in analysis of complex financial data, extensive knowledge in financial and management accounting, including the application of international accounting principles (IFRS) and local US standards, optimization of company's financial performance, understanding of the industrial or renewable energy sector and its financial operations, analytical thinking, planning and organization, autonomy, coordination.
