Position Overview: We are seeking a Logistics and Production Planning Manager to join our Operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our scheduling and logistics processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and logistics strategies that support our operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of schedulers across various shifts and product lines, ensuring optimal prioritization of tasks and resources.
  • Collaborate with the Site Training Leader to assess team skills and implement training programs aimed at enhancing operational capabilities.
  • Work with internal and external experts to identify and implement process improvements that enhance production capacity and efficiency.
  • Engage with site leadership and business units to develop strategies that align operational capacity with market demands.
  • Evaluate and audit scheduling processes to ensure effective communication and operational efficiency across teams.
  • Partner with value stream leaders to assess readiness for new product introductions and ongoing production needs.
  • Strategically plan for logistical requirements in alignment with business forecasts and customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and logistics, preferably within a manufacturing context.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in daily management methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications and other relevant technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree or extensive experience in a related field.
  • Experience with the Danaher Business System (DBS) and operational practices.
  • Proven ability to lead teams through complex challenges and make informed decisions.
