Assistant Retail Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Retail Manager to join our team at Aldi. As an Assistant Retail Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing day-to-day store activities, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining store appearance.
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve store performance, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive sales growth.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Lead and motivate a team of retail staff, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including inventory management, labor costs, and other operational expenses.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations to the Store Manager to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a retail management role, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving store performance.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
