Job Title: Registered Nurse Supervisor - Behavioral Health

Hospital for Behavioral Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy. This role will assist in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational, and Performance Improvement efforts while providing supervision to staff assigned to their shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice.
  • Implement unit policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff.
  • Responsible for unit compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and regulatory standards and patient rights standards.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and formulate plans for improvement.
  • Assist in developing staffing schedules in accordance with patient needs.
  • Coordinate the process for determining and maintaining accurate legal processes for patients.
  • Ensure Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management policies are consistently implemented on the unit.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by Nursing Services.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing.
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
  • Additional Skill Requirements: Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMA, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification and successful completion of training in CPI within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
