About the Role

Hospital for Behavioral Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to lead our Behavioral Health team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards of care and hospital policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals on the behavioral health unit.
  • Develop and implement unit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and formulate plans for improvement.
  • Assist in developing staffing schedules to meet patient needs.
  • Coordinate the process for determining and maintaining accurate legal processes for patients.
  • Ensure Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management policies are consistently implemented on the unit.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by Nursing Services.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.
  • Currently licensed to practice by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
  • Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMA, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • CPR certification and successful completion of training in CPI within 30 days of employment.
