Job Summary

Hospital for Behavioral Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Behavioral Health Nurse Supervisor. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of three years of experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy.
  • Implement unit policies and procedures, and act as a resource to staff.
  • Responsible for unit compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and regulatory standards and patient rights standards.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and formulate plans for improvement.
  • Assist in developing staffing schedules in accordance with patient needs.
  • Coordinate the process for determining and maintaining accurate legal processes for patients.
  • Ensure Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management policies are consistently implemented on the unit.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by Nursing Services.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.
  • Currently licensed to practice by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
  • Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMA, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
