Job Summary:

This position performs a variety of duties and tasks assigned to Shipping & Receiving and the Nutrition Services warehouses, including the receipt, storage, issuance, and delivery of all material consigned to or shipped from the school district.

Responsibilities may include loading and delivery of food and non-food items to school kitchens utilizing a minivan and working in the Nutrition Services warehouse.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Additional responsibilities may include operating equipment, lifting heavy objects, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year experience driving a box or cargo vehicle (at least 29ft. 4in. in length)
  • Current, unrestricted State of Alaska driver's license
  • Ability to obtain a pass on to Fort Wainwright and Eielson Air Force Base
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the position
