About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Surgical Services Coordinator to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical and central sterile services departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities and tasks in support of surgical and central sterile services, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Coordinate shift operations, including scheduling, assigned activities, and resources, to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
  • Serve as a technical or functional resource for staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assign, monitor, and review progress of work, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and evaluate orientation and training of assigned associates, providing input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
  • Oversee utilization and maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment, ensuring optimal use and minimizing waste.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or an Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
