Job Purpose

The Finance Business Partner is accountable for conducting financial evaluations (revenue, costs, and margins) to support the Business Unit and corporate reporting requirements. This role involves coordinating and overseeing accounting functions and generating monthly financial reports for the Business Unit and related internal stakeholders.

II. Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct financial assessments on forecasts and operational outcomes.
  2. Monitor, analyze, and track the revenue and performance of the business unit on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
  3. Generate, present, and convey essential financial insights to the General Manager and Business Unit leadership regarding variances in purchase prices, labor and overhead expenditures, production discrepancies, scrap rates, and other critical financial and performance metrics to facilitate the achievement of the company's financial objectives.
  4. Develop strong analytical capabilities, plan, and prioritize complex tasks, including month-end closures, quarterly and monthly financial forecasts for the business unit, and the Annual Operating Budget (AOP).
  5. Oversee inventory management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable for the respective business unit to ensure asset turnover aligns with the company's goals.
  6. Monitor and analyze excess and obsolete inventory, collaborating closely with the business unit leadership team to secure customer purchase orders in a timely manner.
  7. Conduct annual physical inventory counts and collaborate with the warehouse and inventory teams for variance reconciliation.
  8. Partner with the engineering team of the business unit to prepare quarterly capital expenditure budgets and advise the fixed asset team on timely capitalization, impairment, and disposal of fixed assets.
  9. Ensure financial reporting aligns with US GAAP and SOX compliance, maintaining the integrity and documentation of all financial reporting related to the operations team.
  10. Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders, Corporate Finance, Supply Chain, Internal Auditors, and External Auditors.
  11. Assist the Director/VP of Finance with special projects as required.
III. Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 4-7 years of diverse financial experience.
Required Skills: Financial and accounting experience within a manufacturing environment or audit experience. Proficiency in Excel. Fluent in English.
Required Training: Knowledge of financial and accounting principles, profitability analysis.
